By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. 3.For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song; and they that wasted us required of us mirth, saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion. 4.How shall we sing the LORD'S song in a strange land. Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: 46.And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and beaking bead from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, 47.Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. O GIVE thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. I believed, therefore have I spoken: I was greatly afflicted: One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in his temple. Therefore will I give thanks unto thee, O Lord, among the heathen, and sing praises unto thy name. |
